"God has no religion"?

What do you personally think about this Gandhi quote? I think it is deeper, but along the same lines as Bob Marley's advocacy for "One Love". I think it is pure gold, whether or not God is real.

Update:

If God is a Buddhist, I want to be a Taoist. :)

Update 2:

@omarta, maybe it is because of the influence of my Chinese grandmother, but I think that things can be contrary and still true. It's like yin yang. All spiritual matters are personal experiences and unobservable. When one attempts to express these experiences in material form, such as words, they must be manifested within the dualistic nature of our comprehension. God/truth transcend this limits and are not bound my space, time, or human capacity for reason. All of the common themes of world religions are true in my opinion: Selfless love, acknowledgement of a higher order (physics even), strong families, compassion and service for fellow humans. The rest is just cultural product, as a means to reach the more important goals shared between religions. True gold transcends religion in my opinion.

    its illogical

Contrary is the relationship between two propositions when they cannot both be true (although both may be false). Thus, we can make an immediate inference that if one is true, the other must be false.

The law holds for the A and E propositions of the Aristotelian square of opposition. For example, the A proposition 'we have only 1 life' and the E proposition we have multiple reincarnated lives' cannot both be true at the same time, since no one can have 1 life and multiple reincarnated lives' same time.

Christianity and Buddhism cannot both be correct.

Note: Jesus created religion..he built a church and personally hand picked 12 men to lead it... he gave this church the title the "pillar and foundation of truth"

[edit] the concept of yin and yang is not true because...consider this senario:-

Truth can exist without lies... but lies cannot exist without truth...

"if i say i am a human being"... i do not need to tell you a lie for my statement to be true...

"if i say i am a cat"...i need the truth that i'm a human being..for that statement to be a lie.

this is the sole reason why i personally dont belive in the duology of yin and yang.

Why would an omnipotent deity need or want religion. Religion is for some people to frighten and control other people. open your eyes.It is obvious really, this is the case.

Religion killed Jesus. Jesus came to shut down religion... then some people missed the message and formed a new religion around what he taught, sticking his name on it.... to control the masses.

Jesus did not come to earth to start another religion. He came to earth to be a gateway into heaven to teach people how to have a relationship with God.

I agree, it's great.. I also like, "God is too big to fit into one religion."

Indeed. Logically, because God does not believe in a higher power then himself, he would have to be an atheist. It's rather ironic when you think about it.
