Absolutely nothing. It isn't really tied in with other issues. I think it should be combatted on a social level, not a political one, and not in a violent or polarized way. If people made better choices and acted responsibily, it wouldn't be an issue.

Yes, if I were to ever have a kid, I would adopt him/her, because there's many orphaned children. That's sad. Abortion is not a fix for that. And if you try to use it as one, its a slippery slope to eugenics. Which is fundamentally a facist ideology.

Abortions happen to perfectly good decent married people too. That unplanned pregnancy happens only to sluts is propaganda.

Of course the drug taking idiot wouldn't make a good mom. But neither will a woman who has just lost her job when shes two months pregnant and has three other children that she and her husband can afford, but not four with no second job.

Oh and try and find work when you are pregnant. They may write laws saying they should hire you, but they won't, and when you ask they'll tell you they had a better qualified applicant.

But some of us wonder why taxpayers should fund abortion when we already fund birth control and condoms at school. They offer it in the state I am in, in middle school and high school I think they were talking about offering the morning after pill on occasion if needed. I guess after school your expected to pick up the cost yourself. Not a lot to ask especially since using condoms helps avoid pregnancy and std's. But I guess that is too much to expect people to do nowadays. But I do agree with your view. Its better than having drug addicted kids having kids they would never be able to care for.
