How to reset my Xperia Neo via PC?

My friend has given me his old Xperia Neo, but can't remember the password. Thus i have no way to use the phone. I've tried accessing the boot menu to reset the phone, but it requires me to enter the password. I am wondering if their is a way to reset the phone using Android SDK manager, or some other PC based software?

Update:

I tried the hard reset, and it now says "Safe Mode" in the bottom left corner, but still requires me to enter the password before I can do anything. Any Ideas?

You can make a hard reset (without PC)

    1. First turn the device OFF, remove the phone battery out and then put it back again.

    2. Simultaneously hold the Left and the right buttons beneath the LCD display screen.

    3. Then briefly press and release the Power button

    4. Just then follow the on-screen guide to hard reset the phone

The Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo will reboot to its factory fresh state once the restore process is complete, the data and 3rd party applications you previously installed on the device already been deleted.

    Good luck
