Help me pick a breed that will be happy with this.?
I have selected some breeds that I like and think would be good for me. However, according to what I've read and heard, all of these breeds are very active, and can have behavioral issues if not given the right amount of exercise and stimulation. I want a dog that can be active but will be mostly calm when inside the house. This is what I can do for my dog on a daily basis:
-A 15 minute walk in the morning to allow him to do his business.
-Around 1 hour (maybe 2 or more on weekends) at the park in the afternoon after I get home. Jogging, frisbee, catch, etc.
-In addition, I have a medium to big sized backyard to which he/she will have access to 24/7.
-I get home around 2:30pm on most days, so the dog will be alone for almost 6 hours, sometimes more.
All dogs have different needs, but on a general basis is this enough for the following breeds?
Doberman Pinscher
Border Collie (this is the one I am most worried about)
German Shepherd
Labrador Retriever
Golden Retriever
Rat Terrier
Manchester Terrier
Thanks in advice for any answers.

Looks like you've researched a fair bit which is a great start. If you go with a higher energy dog, also look into learning some dog language and TTouch techniques.
Border Collie traits can vary (work/show etc) but generally speaking being locked in an empty yard for 6 hours is a bad place to be for a BC.
If the activities you list are mainly a wish-list, go with a Labrador (however, the bored Golden Retrievers up the road bark all day sometimes :( ).
It's only my opinion but I'd say the German Shepherd, or the Short-haired Pointer may also suit. Medium-high energy. Needs excercise, play, work or work-type games, obedience and other training. Cheers.

Labrador or Golden Retriever would probably be the best choices out of the breeds you listed and the information you provided. Look into getting an adult dog.

I saw you put border collie, I own an Australian shepherd, similar breed. she does need exercise an she gets excited while outside but while in the house she just chills. With the time you have to exercise anthe big yard they will do fine. Also very intelligent dogs. They will learn faster an easier then most breeds

Get a golden or a lab
They'd do best with your schedule
don't get a puppy(seeing as you don't seem to have the time) get an adult
possibly even go to a shelter and get a mix that they recommend

Have you considered a Yorkshire terrier, big dog little body, and very good with limited exercise.
