  • My dog holds it in?

She is physically able to defecate, this is not a problem. I've taken her to the vet and she is fine. However, she will not deliberately poop. She will only go when she can no longer physically hold it in, as in when it's coming out on it's own. At which point she will finally get into position and finish the job. I take her out on walks, to the park and such, but always she reaches this extreme. It makes me very anxious because I can tell she needs to and she's uncomfortable but she hold it in still. It's 3am and I'll go to the kitchen for water, and I'll see her just sitting down (not laying down) uncomfortably with her behind pressed on the floor, I let her out and nothing. I want her to just do it and be calm. She's always been encouraged to do it and never reprimanded except when she was a puppy and she did it inside but she is 6 now. It's kind of driving me insane seeing her do this. Once I left her with my mother for 3 days, in which she didn't get walked, but still had access to the yard. When I walked her she actually pooped 3 times during that walk so I'm pretty sure she held it in all 3 days. I don't understand why she would torture herself like this instead of simply going. She's a lab btw.

  • Can you report a work related injury late?

About 4 days ago I hurt my back at work. Thereje was some discomfort and slight pain and I thought it was just a pulled muscle. Today I woke up not even able to get up because the slightest use of my lower back hurts like hell. I know the longer you wait, the less likely you are to receive any benefits, but are you still able to report it if it's late? My manager told me I can't report anymore since it's been more than 24 hours. That seems ridiculous to me though since some times it takes longer to know if you are injured.

  • Can I save stolen cars in GTA V?

I bought the garage property, forget what its called. Then I stole this sweet ride, customized it and put it in the garage. Its not there now though so I don't really get the point of the garage if the cars won't stay there. Or is it some kind of bug?

  • Why does youtube stop loading?

For 2 days now, YouTube videos stop loading after a few seconds. They don't stutter, they don't buffer, they just plain out stop loading altogether (the red loading bar just stops). It happens on any video quality. My internet is more than sufficient to play the videos and my signal is "excellent" (5 bars). Videos from any other website load fine. All my browsers are current with updates and I have the latest version of flash. I have cleaned my cookies, temp folder, cache and any junk that could cause this. I have no viruses or malware. No weird plugins. Is it just YouTube or what?

  • Will a PS3 recognize a USB 3.0 Flash Drive?

I know it wont transfer at 3.0 speeds. I'm just wondering whether it will at 2.0 or not recognize it at all.

  • Black screen on HP laptop?

Dropped it, but it kept working fine after that for several hours. When I got back on it the next day, I realized the screen wasn't working properly. The screen's lights are on, but it doesn't display anything other than blackness. I successfully switched to an external display (my tv) with an hdmi cable, but am unable to get the built in display to work. Some people recommended unplugging it, removing the battery, pressing down the power button for a minute and try to boot it. I have tried it several times but it hasn't worked. It;s an HP Pavilion entertainment PC, Intel Core 2 duo, running vista. Got it in 2009. Was working perfectly until now.

  • Should I keep feeding my pup 3 times a day?

On the bag it says to feed 3 1/2 cups a day, in 3 servings when younger than 6 months, and in 2 servings thereafter. My puppy turned 6 months last week and I started feeding her twice a day, but she has got a bit skinnier, even though I'm feeding her the same amount daily. Should I go back to feeding 3 times a day and try again when she's a bit older? I feed her Blue Buffalo if that matters. Thanks for answers in advance.

  • Do animal shelter workers get priority when adopting?

I found a miniature schnauzer roaming the neighborhood as I was walking my dog. She was muddy and had no collar, tag, or anything that might suggest she had an owner. I just left her alone hoping that she could find her own way back home (if she had one). However, she followed me all the way to my house, and even went inside as soon as I opened the door. I put her outside, but after 30 minutes, she was still waiting outside. I took her in, gave her a bath and some food, and took her to shelter the next day. The lady there said that after 5 days she would be put for adoption. I told her that if after 5 days if her owners hadn't claimed her, I'd take her in. Then we left and the lady said not to worry because one of the staff members loves schnauzers and she would be spoiled in the shelter. Yesterday was the deadline for her owners to get her back, so today I called and the same lady said that sorry but her friend who loves schnauzers had already adopted her.

What do you think? Do I have right to be mad at the lady, or is it ok to give other shelter worker priority like that? And if I'm right, is there anything I can do about it or what's done is done?

  • I can't breath through my nose while running?

Breathing through my nose is annoying because the air goes in too slowly, and even when I take a full breath, I still can't get enough oxygen so I use my mouth to get the rest of the air I need. I get too little oxygen too slowly, why?

  • Why is my dog acting weird all of a sudden?

Literally "all of a sudden". She's usually very responsive and eager to do what I say, whether it is to come, sit, stay, fetch or anything. Ever since yesterday she is like a completely different dog. Whenever I tell her to do something, she just looks away and sometimes walks off. It's one thing that she won't do what I say, but the worst part is that she seems nervous and afraid of me, which puzzles me because I have never hit her in any way. She still wants to be active and if I go outside she wants to play, but she won't listen to me so I don't. There haven't been any changes in her diet and she does get exercise, it is truly a mistery to me why she's acting this way. I have checked if there is pain anywhere but she seems completely fine herself, she just kinda hates me lol. I'm annoyed because I'm the one that walks, feeds, trains, exercices and gives her affection. Has anything like this happened to anyone else? She is only 5 1/2 months old.

  • why do some people let their dogs roam free?

A few of my neighbords let their dogs walk around the neighborhood, not only off-leash, but completely unsupervised. It is irritating because they charge at my lab puppy when I'm walking her and in the middle of loose-leash training. More than a few times I have had to pick up dog **** from my front yard that isn'y my dogs. Tonight, I was walking my dog when a rotty came charging at her. I stood in front of him and stopped him but he kept stalking us, following behind us and wouldn't back the **** off. He followed us all the way to my yard, making her anxious all the way. Usually when dogs act this way, the owners just walk in different directions, but of course this was impossible because it had no owner. I was so irritated that I almost kicked the animal in the face, but I figured it was the owner's fault not the dog's. Why can't people just get their lazy asses off the couch, leash their dogs and take them out to poop for like 3 minutes and then pick up the poo? I keep wondering why they even have a dog in the first place if they can't even satisfy its basic needs without annoying others. If anyone else has this problem, I'd appreciate some advise as to how to deal with these dogs, since I have no idea who their owners are.

  • How do I stop my puppy from doing this?

She knows what "put it down" and "no" means, and obeys most of the time, but when she finds something she likes she turns into a brat. Sometimes she even runs outside (she knows its impossible to catch her there) and proceeds to lay happily on the grass chewing on the item, ignoring me. She won't listen and only runs away if I get near her. She has toys to chew on but I guess she gets bored of chewing on the same thing and looks for something new and shiny. I use possitive reinforcement and when she listens, she gets a treat and affection, but she doesn't care about treats when she's like this. This ticks me off more than any other thing she does, and I feel so angry and frustrated at her. She seems to know she can get away with it.

What is an effective way to correct her behavior?

She is a lab, 4 months old.

  • What are good ways to discipline a dog?

It's my first time training a dog. I find that positive reinforcement is a very effective way to teach a dog good behaviors. The problem arises when my dog who already knows what pleases me and what doesn't, chooses to do what doesn't. Most of the time she wants to please me, but sometimes she just wants to do her own thing and couldn't care less whether she pleases me or not or whether she gets treats. She's still a puppy, so I try to be patient, but I want to know some ways to apply negative reinforcement so she understands that she has to obey even if she isn't happy about it.

Spraying her with water wont work, she actually likes that and thinks I 'm playing with her.

  • How to teach my puppy not to bite?

She is a lab girl, almost 3 months old. She is the smartest puppy I have met. She is already potty trained, knows to sit, shake, and fetch, and she understands well what no means. However, she will chew the crap out of my hands and feet when she is playing and I just can't get her to stop doing it. I make a loud noise and let her know it hurts and then say no, but she just starts growling and barking back at me instead of stopping. After this she will act rebellious and act up for a while. So should I give her a good smack next time she bites me or what?

    All tips are appreciated.

  • Questions about crate training?

I have a 9 week old lab girl puppy. I usually have her crated only when I go to sleep and when I'm outside the house. I have heard that puppies should be crated sometimes even when you are home so they don't relate the crate to being alone. I would like to know how often I should let my puppy out to play and such. Usually I let her out and play with her and then let her roam free (taking her out to potty every now and then of course) until I go to sleep. Is that OK or should I only be letting her out a couple of times when I can pay full attention to her?

I also want to know how old she should be before I stop crating her and let her roam when I'm not home, or if I should even do that, ever.

  • Help me pick a breed that will be happy with this.?

I have selected some breeds that I like and think would be good for me. However, according to what I've read and heard, all of these breeds are very active, and can have behavioral issues if not given the right amount of exercise and stimulation. I want a dog that can be active but will be mostly calm when inside the house. This is what I can do for my dog on a daily basis:

-A 15 minute walk in the morning to allow him to do his business.

-Around 1 hour (maybe 2 or more on weekends) at the park in the afternoon after I get home. Jogging, frisbee, catch, etc.

-In addition, I have a medium to big sized backyard to which he/she will have access to 24/7.

-I get home around 2:30pm on most days, so the dog will be alone for almost 6 hours, sometimes more.

All dogs have different needs, but on a general basis is this enough for the following breeds?

    Doberman Pinscher

Border Collie (this is the one I am most worried about)

    German Shepherd

    Labrador Retriever

    Golden Retriever

    Rat Terrier

    Manchester Terrier

Thanks in advice for any answers.

  • what breed is well known for obedience/trainability?

I know that any breed can be trained for obedience with the right approach. But is there any breed that is specially known for being relatively easy to train and obedient? I hear border collies are easy to train but might also be stubborn due to their high intelligence, so I want a breed that is intelligent and can also be taught to obey under any situation (always come when called, go out when told to do so, etc). Also, I don't like poodles.

  • Do women REALLY want to be equal to men?

I write not from prejudice but from personal experience. It seems to me that women want all the benefits that come with being a man, but aren't willing to let go of the benefits that come from being women. As a matter of fact, it appears to me that women are more sexist against both men AND themselves than us men. They are constantly using the fact that they are women as an excuse to do things that would get a man punched in the face and to get out of trouble. I mean lets face it, women are treated with a lot more delicacy. I honestly believe that men and women are equally valuable human beings, but in very different ways. Besides, most women are more bitchy, controlling and problematic than your average man. Its a fact, don't fight it. So why is this obssession to be treated equally as men? If you ask me they have it pretty good.
