soap makers: Is there anyopne who has made soap without an electric stick mixer?
Will be teaching in a campground and may not be electricity. Also, anyone adding lye/water mixture right to the oils/fats?
Any primitive links appreciated.

Here's a few sites for you to check out.
Don't go to youtube unless you feel like wasting a lot of time.
Ignore any electric mixer mentions, and use a heavy-duty whisk or large, heavy wooden spoon. DO NOT USE ANY PLASTIC MIXING UTENSILS-they have a very high chance of melting.
Also, make sure you have a system set up for multiple people to work in shifts.

I used a whisk. The thing is it took a helluva lot more effort, and like 7 of us had to take turns stirring.
