How do ebay sellers ship for so cheap?

(I have tried to send things UPS or US postal service and it is way more expensive than anything I have ever bought off of ebay)

I was just told by the head of SpEd that all my goals must align with grade level state standards even though my students are 4 to 5 grade levels behind due to their many disabilities. How do I look at a parent in the eyes and explain that I can't write the goals on what the kid needs because it doesn't "fit " the State Standards for that grade level? I have always been able to modify goals to meet the STUDENT'S needs and now cannot as the program we have will not allow for that. I have to use the wording in the software- totally not editable. My kids do make progress year to year but nowhere near where they are expected to be. Now I can not use the pre-post tests I used to make for each student. I have to use the standardized tests 4 to 5 grade levels above their functioning. No, they are not eligible for the alternative tests as they are learning disabled and not mentally challenged.

Parents, doesn't this bother you, don't you want the IEP to be individualized? Teachers, how can we meet this challenge?

Adult adoption in AZ is only permitted between the age of 18 and 21 so I can't legally adopt my 31 yr old former step-daughter with whom I am very close. BUT we want to have a party with all family friends and make an oral statement of commitment to include her as a "real daughter"

Walmart used to carry two sizes of chews in a green package of about 5 chews. They had three prongs- like a peace sign- (or the inside of the Mercedes Benz logo!) and were white. I can't find them at any of the pet stores. If I knew the name, I could look them up on line. THXS

I am told that my son's elementary school (USA) will no longer review the IEP present levels of academic performance (PLP)with me at the meeting, but I am to read a copy of it beforehand, when they send it home. The IEP meetings are too long, they said, and they only want to go over the goals. Is this change legal?

I heard there are bars where you drink beer and watch a movie, which is your recomendation.. also what district is it in so I can find an inexpensive hotel room within walking distance? What areas to avoid? Any other ideas of entertainment- we will be in town two nights in July.
