Broken finger maybe ???????
So this morning i was getting something out of my drawer and it went off the track thing and closed on my finger right on my index fingers knuckle (the knuckle on the middle of my index finger not the bottom) it swelled up right away and it has a cut and its red & numb. I been putting ice on it but it seems like its getting worse. I can bend it a little but it hurts really bad. Could it be broken?

It certainly sounds as if it could be broken. It must have been very painful when you did it. The only way to tell for sure is to go and get it x-rayed. If the icing is not helping then I would go and see about it, and you can get proper treatment. The hospital will either put a finger splint on or tape it to the adjoining finger for support. There is no point in delaying going to the hospital, as there is not much more you can do at home, other than icing it. The fact that it swelled up immediately is another indicator that it is probably broken. Hope it feels better soon.
