Guns or Guitars, which would you rather have and why?
I say guitars because they are safer and funner to me. I know some people do own both, but if you had to choose between having a gun or guitar, which would you choose?
Also, if you want to get into a further discussion about the question, what do you think about the saying that "guns don't kill people, people do?" I think that is not true because a gun can misfire without anyone ever touching it. It can fall or get knocked down or around and fire a deadly bullet. It can misfire when being handled. It is so deadly to even have around your house or on your person.
On the other hand, my guitars are fairly safe to have. The only thing that can happen bad is if a string pops and snaps toward an eyeball, that hurts! But mostly the guitar is easy to play and doesn't act up like that. And when I don't play them, they sit like furniture in the corner, or in their case. The worst thing that can happen if a guitar falls over is it will break, unless it falls on a loaded gun that then misfires and shoots a bullet.
Sans that event, my guitar might get stolen, it might get pawned, or God knows -- learned how to be played by someone. If a kid finds my guitar and starts messing with it when I'm not around, then the worst thing that can happen is they might knock it out of tune or break it maybe, but they too just might learn how to play the darn thing just by fooling around with it and that would be totally ok with me. Guns do kill people, it's just people help them do it.
To those who say guns don't kill or shoot without people, read the following: Accidental discharges not involving trigger-pull can also occur if the firearm is mechanically unsound: poor maintenance, abuse, inept "gunsmithing," or the use of substandard materials or defective ammunition in the gun may all lead to breakage.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Accidental_discharge
If my guitar is "mechanically unsound," and a few of them are, they still won't kill anyone, sorry to burst that bubble.
@troll with cat avatar for pic, I did say "funner." Thanks for alerting me to my spelling error, I should have said "more fun."
@Canadian, thanks for your honesty but I'm all of 6'1 (that's not the metric system sweetheart, I'm All-American ball playin' womp womp on ya face for the fun of it 6'1) So you better bring it if that's what's up!

I would rather have guitars. Especially electric. I hate guns. A friend of mine died by a gun.

Guitars.
Also, that saying means that guns aren't inherently dangerous. If a gun was left alone it wouldn't harm anyone. It's not some radioactive object that gives people cancer or something like that. I doubt natural causes will take a gun off safety and push the trigger either. That's literally close to impossible. People who utilize fire arms are what are innately dangerous so yes I agree with that saying.
EDIT: Again if a person wasn't handling firearms those accidental charges wouldn't even be possible. Accidental charges seems to result from mishandling of firearms due to carelessness or lack of knowledge by PEOPLE.

A guitar. Before you go on about it being safe and all of that crap, lets say I potentially lost my mind... I could beat the crap out of you with that lovely guitar.

i imagine you'd be effective. If the pickup replaced into soldered before you may solder it lower back. purely artwork right away & do not live on the pickup. also tint the cord before soldering it & keep in recommendations with soldering = warmth, clean, & flux (acid center solder)
