Scalded hand help please?
Scalded my hand pretty badly on oil last week and it really badly hurt for several hours after. I didn't go to A&E.
Now the skin is numb and discoloured. It stretches to a darker area right over an artery in my wrist. The whole thing is about 3cm in diameter.
I'm just a bit worried-is it supposed to lack feeling? Because unless I press down enough to make it hurt, I can't feel a thing.

That means you have nerve damage in that particular area. You DO NOT want to put butter or and other oil base product on it. You should run some cool tap water on it and get some medical attention ASAP.

You may have nerve damage from a 2-3 degree burn. Place it under cool running water and seek medical attention as soon as you can, keep it loosely covered to prevent further infection and damage. Do not put any butter or anything of that nature on it.
