Can a 380acp(9mmShort) bullet from a Ruger LCP shoot through 3 usa 25 cent coins taped together?

All of that energy has to go somewhere. My guess that if it didn't penetrate the three quarters, that it would blow the quarters out of the holster, or the bullet would at least partially fragment and chew the he** out of your abdomen. I don't see where that is a good idea at all. It might even cause the gun to rupture if the end of the barrel is pretty well sealed by the quarters.

I guess you're just worried that your gun might go off? My advice is to keep it at 5 or 7 o'clock. This way should the gun accidentally fire, it will only strike the ground behind you. If you keep it at 12, 11, or 1 o'clock, then yes it can hit a major blood vessel.

However, you should practice drawing your gun at home. I hope you already taken a NRA safety class and on top of that got some Snap Caps. What you do is at home, in front of a mirror or whatnot, just continuously practice unholstering your weapon and firing it. Maintain trigger discipline and just do it for 10 minutes a day with the snap caps. That way you can build trust with your gun and know it's operation and in time of where you have to draw it, you can easily do so from muscle memory.

That's what's going to happen with your 3 quarters. They will become the new projectile and get shot into your leg. Probably the tape will break and you will get three quarters perforating your thigh..and maybe the bullet too.
