Why do I still feel like a child?
I'm 27 (female). I have my own house, 2 cars and an average paying job. I'm getting married in March 2013. My question is why do I still feel like a child? and is this normal?
A little insight on the child-like aspects... I'd rather get Lego as a Christmas present than anything else, I play PC games for entertainment, I LOVE trains (steam trains especially), and I generally long for my High School days (of course knowing what I know now about life and "politics" of the environment). Not to mention I love songs (music) that tell a story, I enjoy folk legends and children's stories, and above all I've always felt my imagination is better than my real life...
I feel like even though I am a functioning adult, making wise decisions with my time/money, I am still a child or teenager... Sometimes I feel as though I am 3 personalities inside one body (Child / Teen / Adult)
Is this normal? Do other people feel this way? Is there something abnormal about me?

No, not at all! :) Feeling like a child? In fact, I think that might be very good. It sounds like you are a very functional person, so why worry? It will probably keep you very level-headed and creative! You'll be able to understand children, and know how to work with them. Many would consider you lucky!

Well, for one, I think we are making a big to-do over a question and answer that most of us have never even read. Even in the question link you provided, the original question and answers are not supplied. So a heated argument over this is rather silly, as we have no idea the content or scenario of the original question. That being said, I also have no use for children, and because of my feelings, have made a conscious decision not to have any. My choice and no one else's business, as far as I am concerned. I was not put on this earth to make babies and I am not maternal. I am also more inclined to think that just because man has the upper hand, doesn't mean we are worthy of it. We are the scourge of this planet and should be a lot more respectful of other species. We really don't have the right to pollute this planet with our own overpopulation. I rather agree with the other poster that my dogs and my husband are more important to me than some stranger. However, if my husband and I did not agree on our lifestyle, I would not hesitate to take the dogs and leave him. That would not happen, as I made sure I knew what I was getting into before I got married, something that many folks do not do. Edit: Love is a German Shepherd Dog-you are my hero! Man is the only species on the planet that is intentionally cruel, brutal, and emotionally sick. Along with that complexity comes ego, greed, abuse, etc. We have nothing to brag about. I was a late bloomer myself, and grew up in a neighborhood of early bloomers. Sick little twisted children with boobs.

This normally means you had a bad childhood and so etching very traumatic happened that your mind has blocked out. So your conscious feels like you didn't get the full experience so it's trying to make up for it now. It happens to a lot of people

well this is your brain's thinking
maybe you want to still be a child or you just don't want to be serious all the time and have some fun and bring back memories
nothing wrong with that at all
