Does anyone know the name of these cookies?
So I can look up a recipe? My husband's mother used to make them. He calls them 'cold drop oatmeal cookies'. They're more of a no-bake cookie. It's melted chocolate with oatmeal stirred in(possibly the chocolate was brought up to a certain temp). Then you drop spoonfuls on a sheet pan and refrigerate.
Any help? I'm not a baker/cookie person by any means. Thanks.

This must be the one
No Bake Cereal Cookies
1 cup quick rolled oats
2/3 cup soft butter
2/3 cup sifted icing sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 oz unsweetened chocolate, I use semi sweet chocolate chips or Hershey Chippits, melted
Toast oats 10 minutes at 350 degrees F
cream butter
Beat in icing sugar until fluffy
Add remaining ingredients and stir with a fork
Drop by spoonful onto a baking sheetwhich has been lined with wax paper. Refrigerate. makes 2 1/2 dozen.

You just answered your question. The cookie is actually called "no bake cookies". You should find several recipes online, including ones that have peanut butter in them. I prefer them without peanut butter, but they're still good either way.
