I need an overall summary of the conflict between these two. Please include details about Protestantism vs Catholicism, the beheading of Mary Scot, the Spanish Armada and the Protestant wind. It's very much appreciated.

In the 1500s, Europe was a battleground between Protestantism and Catholicism. In England Henry VIII broke with the Catholic church and this was continued with his son Edward VI but, in 1553 he died and was replaced by his sister Mary I who was a Catholic. She was married to Phillip II of Spain and tried to return Catholicism to England through a bloody campaign that earned her the name Bloody Mary. When she died in 1558 the throne passed to her sister the Protestant Elizabeth I. Phillip II of Spain opposed her and tried to support the rival Catholic Mar, Queen of Scots including two plots to assassinate Elizabeth I. The first ended in Mary being removed and imprisoned while the Scottish throne passed to her son James VI (later also James I of England) and the second ended in her being beheaded. Elizabeth I supported privateers like Sir Francis Drake who harassed Spanish ships and tried to establish a colony in the Americas which was dominated by Spain so Phillip II sent his armada to stop the English but, the so-called Protestant Wind, a terrible storm, ravaged the Spanish which allowed England to win. This not only ended Spanish domination of the America but, also began 300 years of English naval dominance..

There isn't any Queen of britain and hasn't been for approximately four hundred years. The Last monarch of England was once Queen Elizabeth 1st within the 1500/1600s. She was once succeeded by means of James the first who grew to become King of Great Britain which was once made from England and Sciotland. Since then, each and every king and queen has been the monarch of the United kingdom, that is presently made from high-quality Britian (England, Scotland and Wales) and Northern eire. Therefore Queen Elizabeth II is queen of of the United Kingdom of Great britain and Northern Ireland. Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales, is the queen's eldest son and is hence the present inheritor to the throne. He will most effective be compelled by means of legislation to abdicate from the throne if he marries a Roman Catholic (that is as a result of the act of settlememt which bans Britain from ever being dominated by means of a Catholic monarch)
