Use for white tail deer tails?
So during these earlier winter months i have been getting into the tanning processes. I figured how easy would it be to begin with a deer tail? I have a few tails now that are salted and treated and well.... i really dont know what to use them for. Decoration? Crafts?...ect.

Most whitetail deer tails are sold commercially for fly fishermen to tie fishing flies from, In fact, one popular lead-head jig is generically referred to as a "bucktail jig". Other than that, I'm not sure what you would do with them other than some creative craft items or Native American style wall hanger decorations. Half the fun of using them is the imagination that goes into the creation. Go for it and have fun.

My aunt uses them along with pheasant tail feathers to decorate her Christmas tree. I would imagine you could also use them to make a center piece for your kitchen table to if you can get a hold of some decorative branches and maybe some flowers.

Salted is not tanned. I have heard of using the scrotum for coin purses, but I do not know of any use for the tail other than to use the hair for tying flies.

With a few pieces of leather lace, you could make a little bikini. One for the front, one for the back and two for the top.
Then ask your husband/boyfriend if he wants to tag his doe.
