Somebody has deleted my long held email address from my contacts.?
A 'primary' address has been substituted: my-yahoo-register@yahoo-inc.com

Thanks very much for your answer. Fortunately my problem seems to have been sorted now, until next time at least.
I sent an email from the new address to my old one, and up came a screen I haven't seen before with both addresses on it, plus the information that I was in the united states unstead of the united kingdom, this screen also wanted information that yahoo had never asked for, I did not oblige with the extra information and deleted the new address . Problem over, and it seems some other small gremlins that were probably caused by the wrong country being marked on the screen.

It seems several people have lost their long held email addresses - I have lost 2 with so much important material.
Why can't we ask Yahoo direct ? - it is a living nightmare especially at this time of year.
I get one address opening on its own accord as soon as I clikc mail. I cannot get the other address and therefore not able to answer people's question etc.
HELP YAHOO PLEASE!!!
