Hasn't the news media been too intrusive re: Newtown, CT?
Shouldn't parents have privacy to grieve, instead of wondering whether cameras will try to photograph them as they collapse from the horror? Is it really any of our business to hear the names of and photographs of and character sketches of all the children? Is the media really doing us a service by digging for & endlessly rehashing every sordid little detail they can find?
People are beginning to get drunk off their own adrenaline. It's all I hear some people talk about, everywhere I go. And the media keeps throwing more gasoline on the fire!
Don't get me wrong -- this was as much a nightmare to me as anyone. But is there any benefit from the news media's continuous fanning of the flames, endlessly replaying the events, interviewing people who state the obvious again & again? Shouldn't they start encouraging us to move on, before some of us go crazy obsessing over this whole thing?

Good point. Many people have complained the families are not being respected and have called for some photographs of mothers being informed of their children's deaths to be taken down and apologies issued to these tragic women. It is really heart warming to see people like your self and thousands of others showing so much respect for the families feelings. God bless you for that.

The media is terrible, They need to back off and stay away from families. Its really morbid that they can't just leave people alone. Anything for a story or headline now days.

I am not so upset about the media showing the pictures and giving us some bits of information about them but what I am upset about is them showing the people coming out of the funerals and services. Give the families their privacy to mourn the way they need to. Give them their space.
