Is it easier to sprain your knee if you've sprained it before?

I sprained my knee last summer and I think i might have just sprained it again. Just wanted to know. Also what will help it heal?

Anything that gets sprained/strained has a higher % chance of happening again, and that's true for the unaffected side as well.

However the person who answered first is wrong in that if you're more flexible you have a higher % chance of injuring that area. This is why it's much easier to injure your shoulder instead of your hip. More ROM/flexibility = more instability and chance for injury.

No, if it was healed correctly the first time. When you sprain something the muscles know that to expect so the avoid causing and injury.

On the other hand if not healed correctly you can almost guarantee you'll get another one.

Yes any injury can be repeated if not properly healed, given time, and rehabbed back to strength. It is easier to strain it again SCIENTIFICALLY but when I sprained my knee I realized I was a bit more flexible and it was harder

Yes, if you are not being careful and the knee hasn't really healed up completely. There may be another reason though. Maybe one leg is shorter than the other so you are off balance.
