House hold items to make candles with out wax?

I wanted to make a new candle today and I always use different recipes for each one just to try them out. Is there any way I can make a candle with out wax from the store and just house hold items?

    try some old candles with scented oils poured into a pretty glass with a wick twisted from the old wicks.

    what about Johnson's snow flakes? Actually, you might wish to find out what the pilgrims did.This is not said in a rude way, they did many things that have been lost BUT really worked for them, what's to say they won't work now?
