To real Christians who have read the bible?

in the book of genesis or whichever when god was instructing noah on how to build the ark, including exactly which materials at which length to use, for literally pages and pages and pages... did you fall asleep reading this? do any of you find this information useful, insightful, or necessary to your spiritual well-being or understanding of the scriptures?

can you admit that those few pages were a case of intolerable literature?

thank you.

Update:

@immovable, i don't think your answer serves much purpose... it does go on for pages and pages. i know that because i've read it. and why are you reminding me i have the choice to read it? i know that.

Update 2:

@beyond, what is the thing i haven't yet read? and you're right, my bad. i must be thinking of the pages about some altar or tabernacle

The value of it may only be recognizable the fourth or fifth time you read it as it relates to something else in the scriptures that you haven't read yet.

Genesis 6: 14 to 16 are the instructions for construction.

    Pages and pages huh? Hmmm.

hi, they could't logically and lexically talking. in case you reject Christ as your savior, worship different gods, convert to Islam or Judaism then some can say you at the instant are not a Christian. The few Christian sects that say this at the instant are not regular for being particularily quick or tolerant worldwide, asserting guy walked with dinosaurs and so on. Their eternal protection suggestions as an occasion are fake doctrine in accordance to many branches of Christianity, contradict Christ's teachings and as Christ pronounced %. the pole out of your eye earlier identifying on on the splinter on your neigbours. Not to be funny but I'm assuming that you didn't make to the Book of 'Numbers" in the Bible? I enjoy reading Genesis and the account of Noah. Numbers is a bit less entertaining.

    God bless you.

Some people would love all that information. Mostly men interested in ship building. Men living 1,000 years ago would have enjoyed it. I am like you I found it dull. I do love the Bible though.

If they admitted it is intolerable literature, they would then have to admit a lot more that they don't want to. So, they take the easy way out and just say its all grand.

I don't think it runs into pages and pages.

Whether you want to read it or not is your choice. It all depends on what you think about it.

It shows you that God is VERY detail oriented! He is alive and not a passive God.

No, but I did blind my mind from realizing that God was detroying the entire earth and killing innocent kids for something he did.
