Help with getting started stretching my ears?

I've decided that I want to stretch my ears. I don't want to go too big, maybe a 6g or 4g, but I'm not really sure what to do. I've done some research on the internet, but it's left me a little confused.

So what exactly are tapers used for? I've seen a few posts about how they're bad to leave in for more than an hour or so, but then others that say you should only use tapers. And where do the plugs come in? I get that they probably aren't really used for the smaller sizes, but what do you use instead if you can't wear tapers all the time?

Yeah, I'm confused and I can't go talk to any professionals or anything because there aren't ANY near me (near being within an hour and a half) and I don't know anyone who's done it.

I'm 17 and I first got my ears pierced when I was 7 so I don't have to go get that done and wait 6 months or something.

Tapers are the things that stretch your ears. They look like a cone, and the big end is the size that you're going to. For 14g, which is what you want to start off at, i suggest just getting 14g earring since it's that small that earrings run in the size as well.

At 12g, you can start buying plugs with the tapers. Usually what you want to do is push the taper out with a plug right after you stretch. When you push the taper out from the front, the plug will slide into place.

Personally, I wore my tapers for about three days before putting plugs in, and nothing at all happened throughout all my sizes.

If you don't want to wear plugs, after your ears are healed, you can get flesh tunnels and pinchers or any other jewelry that is the size.

While stretching, i suggest doing it in the shower, and not doing it dry. You can also buy something called Holly Butt'r to help you stretch. I've used it forever and I love it. I'll leave a link for tapers/plugs/holy butt'r all on the same site.

If you have any other questions add details and I'll check back to answer them.

    Good luck

This is what my friend did and she is 12 mm. She started off with normal box standard earrings which she got when she was a baby and then went in a mm left that for a few months and then went u another, building it gradually. The types she used were

You can use different kinds of stretchers but these seem to be the most popular ones round my area.

I'm not sure what g is. I'm guessing its a unit of measurement you use for the gauges. In England we use mm.
