  • 1965 VW bug restoration help?

Hey there, I'm 16, and my grandma just gave me her 1965 vw bug as my first car. I have a job, and nothing to do with my money, so I'm looking to restore it. The question I have is, what should be done? It's in pretty good condition. Interior is good, but eventually will be replaced, body has no dents, and I will be painting it. I'm thinking about lowering it also. Has anyone ever restored a bug, or have any experience with one? By the way, my grandma is the original owner if that matters.

    Thanks!

  • My contact lenses are blurry no matter how many times I clean them? Help?

Hi there, I've been wearing the 30 day Air Optic for Astigmatism for about a week now, and they've been the best thing since I got my glasses for the first time. Well, basically today I went to put them in, and they are all blurry. Both of them are. I waited for about 10 minutes to see if they'd adjust, and nothing happened, so I took them out, cleaned them, and put them back in, and the same thing, all blurry. It's a big of a struggle still to get them in, so I can't just keep doing it over and over and waiting.

    Any idea?

  • How to prepare to become a Combat Controller?

Hi there. For a few years now I've had the dream of becoming a Combat controller. I'm almost 16, so I'll have about two years before I can enlist and all the good stuff. I've known forever that the AIr force is what I want to do, and I have no doubt that I will enlist.

My question is, what can I prepare for the next two years. What shape should I be in, what area should i focus on,e.g Strength, cardio, and any other things that I need to know.

I have many close friends that are currently in the Air force, and family that has served, but none of them don't really know too much about what you need to do.

I know once I get to the point of going through the camp and what not, that It will be extremely hard, so I want to be as prepared as I can, even though I know they're going to push you 100x harder than anything you can prepare for.

    Thanks for your time.

  • Where to learn physics online?

Hi peoples, I'm currently in 10th grade and I'm wanting to learn more about physics. I'm scheduled for 3 semesters in total of Biology, so I don't know entirely when/if I'm going to be taking physics. I've completed two semesters already, and next year I'm scheduled for one. I've watched hours and hours of physics videos on youtube, but I'm not getting any hands on equations or anything.

if someone could link a website for beginner physics, it'd be greatly appreciated. I've already googled a lot and tried different forums, but I just can't find anything myself.

    Thanks

  • Places a 15 year old can get hired - California?

Wondering if anyone knows of any jobs that hire at age 15 in California. I've tried looking around at grocery stores but all of their websites say that the minimum age is 16.

I've checked and in California you can obtain a work permit at 14-15, so there must be work somewhere. I've spent hours upon hours searching around the internet, but I can't seem to find anything.

Please don't leave any comments saying not to find a job, and to enjoy your childhood, since It's my decision anyways. I've started saving for a car,but I don't have any persistent income, so I can't do anything anyway.

Hopefully there is someone that knows of jobs, thanks!

  • How to get into running as a sport?

Hey there everyone, I've recently wanted to become more active and get out there and start running as a sport, and to get into more of a healthy state.

I need a bit of help getting out there into the running community and what not. Please don't just say to go out and run, because I know there is more to it. I don't want to over do it since I haven't really ran a mile in a few years which is pretty bad, I know. I want to train for a 5k from scratch basically.

I've already gotten shoes that are good for my feet and what not, and I may go out and get some sweats since i want my runs to be in the morning, or late at night.

If someone could link me somewhere that has a guide for beginning running, or give me help of their own, I'd appreciate it a lot.

Thank you a lot, even if you don't answer!

  • Graphics card from 250w to 300w, will it be fine?

I would like to run dual monitors on my current PC, the p7-1254, but I can't since its integrated graphics, so I want to take my old graphics card which ran on 250w, and put it on 300w. Will it be fine to run?

I don't know the name or the card, and I can't turn it on and find out since the motherboard of my old PC went out.

  • Length of a rectangle when given the perimeter and width?

I can't seem to figure out how to find the length, but I'm given the perimeter and the width.

I won't given specific numbers cause this is indeed for school, but the formula would be nice.

  • How to pursue a computer forensics career?

I've been wanting to go into computer forensics field when I'm out of high school for a good two years now. I'm far interested in computers and computer science, but I have a massive journey ahead of myself.

I really need to know the entirety of the pursuit that I will have to take. Would I need a degree in criminal justice or computer science?

If you can briefly explain it I'd really appreciate it. Also, I still have two more years of highschool, But my mind is 100% set on it, and it has been. I don't really need all the information, just the outline of it.

    Thanks!

  • Absolutely terrified of school?

I've been homschooled for 3 and a half years, and tomorrow I'm going in to sign up for public school. All my old friends go there, and a few have been talking to me begging for me to go back. For some reason, I'm absolutely terrified. I feel super self conscious about my acne and what not, and I am nervous about walking into class as the new kid and going to the teacher for a seat and what not.

    Any help? please?

  • How to get over social/school anxiety? (Serious people please :O)?

Well, for the last 3 years I've been homschooled. My middleschool principle would literally pick on me for everything, and the only thing i thought about doing was going on homeschool, so i did.

For some reason, once i left, even the following year i had massive anxiety and didn't want to go to school at all.

In 9th grade, last year, I was planning on going back, and i actually enrolled in an independence school, which you still go in for, just two days instead of all 5.

This year, i said i was going, but then i wanted to throw up when i thought about going.

I really want to go back, I don't know what's stopping me. For some reason, i get terribly terrified thinking about doing presentations and what not.

I don't care hanging out with people my age, I actually hang out with my brothers friends almost every weekend and we go out of town to San Fransico a lot too. I hang out with a lot of the girls that come with us when we go, but other than that I don't really have any friends for myself.

Can anyone give me tips? I've had a doctor and have taken medicine for this stuff but it's never helped so i stopped going.

    Thanks

  • Is Krav Maga worth learning? Pros of it?

    hey there.

I'm 15, and I'm looking to lose some weight and at the same time learn to defend myself and what not. Within a few weeks I'm going on my diet and doing strictly cardio. Since the krav maga classes that i would attend are every other day, the days that i didn't have it I'd be doing mostly cardio at the regular gym.

Does anyone know if krav maga is worth learning? Also, how long would it take to get a six pack while eating right, going to the gym, and doing krav? I'm around 180 lbs, and 5"11 almost 6 foot.

    Thanks to everyone!

  • Super strict diet ?! Same meals everyday! Help?! 10 points?

I'm 15, 5"11, and i weigh around 180. My doctor said that it's okay since I'm tall, but I'm heading in the wrong direction.

I've recently, as in today, started my Strictly water diet for the liquid side. I now need help with my meals! I want a very, very , VERY strict diet to follow. I'll be doing strictly cardio until i lose weight, and then I'll add in strength training and what not.

Please tell me what i should eat for breakfast , lunch and dinner. I plan on eating the same thing every day.

Also, if you say chicken or something, can you tell me exactly which chicken to get?

Thanks!, I will give 10 points to the most helpful answer.!!!

  • Which piercing would look good with the ones i have?

Alrighty I'll start with saying I don't care if you think body piercings are trashy and what not, I'm not here to ask you that, I'm here to ask the people who enjoy them which piercings will look good with my current ones.

    My current piercings are

    1/2" stretched ears

    Snake bites

Septum (Got it like two days ago)

I really want another facial piercing, but I don't want to get overloaded lol. Again, don't just throw in your answer you think they are trashy, if you think facial piercings are trashy, just suggest a ear piercing or something.

    Thank you!

  • What piercing should i get? 10 Points!?

Welps, I'm 15 years old, a guy, and I'm looking for a new piercing to get. Currently i have snake bites, and 1/2 inch stretched ears. School isn't a problem, and I don't have a job, so appearance and what not doesn't really matter.

I don't want anything common like another cartilage. The one i like the most will get 10 points!:D

  • Does the septum piercing hurt? Share your experiences please!?

Just wondering if it hurts, or how much it does hurt. I know people have different pain tolerances but i just want to hear a few experiences. I currently have snake bites and was at 1/2 inch stretched ears , so i don't have many piercings. I know all I'm doing is working myself up since the snake bites weren't bad at all.

Just let me know! Top answer gets the 10 points and a hug :D
