can i fix my laptop or get it fixed?
i mistaken stepped on my laptop, although it didn't have any cracks in the screen when i turned it on the screen was darker and the colors were/are funny . i can still use it (im actually using it now) but i really need my screen back to normal so i can see clearly. its not black nor white or flickering , it looks as if tho someone turned down the brightest which isn't not true, i've checked several times. i've tried holding the power button for 30 seconds and even taking the battery out of it. im positive the cause is because i stepped on it, but how to fix it??? thanks in ADVANCE.

You'll have to replace the LCD screen, that's the only solution. If you know what you're doing, it's a fairly straightforward easy replacement. You can purchase the LCDs off eBay fairly inexpensively, around $100 or so. But, only attempt this repair if you absolutely KNOW what you are doing. There's lot's of nice informative articles online on repairs, justice Google your specific laptop, and the repair. Good luck!

Stepping on your laptop shouldnt affect the brightness of the screen.
If your using Windows Vista or 7 you can easily change the Screen Brightness Settings in the Control Panel

Since you damaged the LCD laptop screen, you'll likely have to get it replaced, which is much more complex than replacing most other components on a laptop. Honestly, your best bet is to get a professional to replace it.

Have you actually tried adjusting the screen brightness control? windows start button--control panel--display-- should be an adjustment available there.

Take it to Best Buy, Office Depot or your local computer store and ask them about getting it serviced, etc.
