Prime rib? or something else?

I am trying to use a recipe for Prime rib, but my boyfriends brother bought something different. He purchased a rib roast? It looks like this piece of meat has bone. It was still well over $100.. can we cook it the same or does it have to be cut into steaks?

Thanks!!

Same piece of meat, standing rib roast = prime rib with the bones. Advantage, bones make for a juicier steak. Cook it the same way, blast in super hot oven, lower temp and bake until internal temp is approx 10 degrees lower than your desired finish temp. Rest to finished temp and carve.
