For fun, what breed of dog do you think my brittany mix is mixed with?

So I just adopted a dog about a month or so ago. I don't really care what sort of dog he is exactly, but it is fun to guess what he may be mixed with. I want to see what you guys think!

Here are the things I am for sure about him:

He is definitely mostly brittany.

He is about 1 and a half years old.

The papers from the spca say he is a hound mix, and i definitely think there is a lot of hound in him.

He is very smart. Picks up on a lot, but gets very distracted. May be just his personality.

He is very fast and loves to run. Probably the brittany in him but possibly something else.

He is 17 inches in height and weighs about 35-40 pounds.

He loves trying to chases small animals, squirrels included.

Here is his pictures!

Update:

thank you for the responses so far! and i forgot to mention that you can click on the arrows backward and forward for more pics of him. Sorry if the pics are small, my boyfriend took them from his phone...

Looks like he`s mixed with Fox Hound.

I have a Pomeranian and a Bluetick Coonhound from the SPCA.

Good on you for adopting! (:

I think it's probably the hound I'm seeing, but his head reminds me of a pit bull. Maybe a little bit of lab in there, too.

He's beautiful whatever he is. (:

  • He looks sort of like a lab, beagle or retriever mix.

Beautiful dog by the way. :)
