Cold with painful cough?
So I've had a cold for about three days (perhaps four) now. It started with an itchy feeling in my throat that made me cough slightly, to a full blown cold, complete with stuffy nose and sore throat. This was day one. Day two, and the cold was worse and I had a cough. It was bad, but tolerable. Now I'm on day three and my cough burns. My throat and chest itch, cough drops do not help, the cough burns down my throat and lungs, and my chest feels weird.
I'm confused because when I had bronchitis this summer I was coughing up stuff. Now when I cough It's like I might be coughing up something small, but it's stuck in my throat, maybe. What do you think could be wrong. I know it's not allergies because I don't have allergies and I'm not allergic to anything. If it gets bad enough I'll probably go to the doctor. What do you guys think it could be? Any help is greatly appreciated.

If it's only a cold than it's severe. What you can do is short prior going to bed take a hot bath with all ingredients inside against a cold, than drink a hot cup of fruit tea with 2 small spoons full of honey inside and go to bed.
Most probably you're sweating a lot, but in the morning you should feel better.
If not than a visit at an doctor for respiratory problems is advisable..
