Get the beer one way or the other. (don't know if you can get NZ beers where you are, but my two favorite brews from there are Monteith's Golden Lager and their IPA).

Don't ride after the beers or it might be the end of you or you end up in jail or jail after the hospital.

But screw the Mayans, they can't even build a pyramid without steps, so what would they know about the end of the world?

Added- Last time I was in OZ they didn't have any micro-brews but that was over 40 years ago (leave from Nam) but YES the Kiwis do brew and if the end doesn't happen today and you ever get a chance to visit NZ, the Monteith's brewery in Greymouth is great place to visit (made the mistake of going there while on my bike tour on my bike the first time, found a closer motel the second time around ;)

Well I sure hope youre able to get more than just a "few cases" of beer in exchange for your bike.

Keep us posted on how the end of the world is going for you. Im in Hawaii so I basically have an entire day to prepare for whatever is [not] gonna happen.

Marry a brewery heiress – NOW.

Shame you are stuck with Aussie beer but it is (just) better than no beer.
