Should we be considered as back sliders if we do no research?
For instance, I often don't research before answering a question because it takes away some momentum and spontaneity. If it is just laziness, is that not reason enough? So my condition or state of mind may be irrelevant to a proper answer done without research on the question to be answered.

You would rather be spontaneous than answer someones question correctly? The only people who ask questions without expecting/hoping for a correct answer are school teachers.
If you know the answer to a question without needing to research, sure, give it. But if you don't, you should probably do a little research before spreading false information...

I research about one percent of the questions I answer and still manage a 24% best-answer record. Another few percent are ones to which I give a wiseass answer, to match the tone of the question. The rest are really simple (to me) questions, like "Why is my turtle not eating?"
