AR-15 stripped lowers & the Apocalypse?

Q1: Where's the best place to buy AR-15 stripped lowers?

Q2: If a stripped lower is bought pre-ban and "grandfathered in", can I add parts to that lower (not allowed on newly-manufactured weapons) and still be in compliance?

Q3: Why are there so many people talking about the Apocalypse like there's no tomorrow? :-D

Thanks!

Update:

Thanks guys!

BTW, Q3 is a joke. "like there's no tomorrow" means excessively or eagerly.

Unfortunately, that works only on Dec 20 .... or on the next stupid Apocalypse fad.

Update 2:

Thanks to all who took time off teir busy schedules in order to answer my questions.

Happy Holidays!

Q1, it is hard to find them in stock try the link below. Nobody can spoon feed you a brand because what was in stock an hour ago may not me now. In the link there is 80+ brands that sell lowers, you may need to call 20 of them to find one in stock.

Q2: if it is grandfathered in, yes you can add parts

Q3: People are stupid. There is zero facts supporting the myth that the Mayans predicted the end of the world tonight. Just that they ran their calendar until now. By that theory, the world should end every 365 days according to out calendar.

Q1: look everywhere. my local shop still had 3 in stock when I visited them 3 hours ago. in the 15 minutes I was there all 3 got purchased. there must of been 100 people in the store.

I figure stripped lowers are more available since complete rifles are out of stock everywhere, but they're not plentiful, you'll have to search, and quickly! time is not on your side

Q2: with AR15's the lower half of the receiver is the gun. if it was grandfathered in it would be pre-ban and you'd be free to build it however you'd like as if there is no ban.

Q3: becasue the that is tomorrow. the end of the world. it's tomorrow, or 1 hour and 36 minutes in my time zone.

"...pre-ban and "grandfathered in", can I add parts to that lower (not allowed on newly-manufactured weapons) and still be in compliance..."

Where is this "ban"? You must live in California.

Compliance with what laws would be nice to know in order to answer intelligently.

    Every State is different.

I don't know why you thought you had to explain "like there's no tomorrow", it was a great double entendre. Probably had Mayans on your mind.

Oh...wait. I forgot that I am an old fart and book reading has fallen out of fashion these days.

    1. Everyone is out of stock.

    2. The lower is the gun. You might be able to add what ever parts you want.

    3. Because the world ends tonight or not according to some interpretation of the Mayan calendar. I think they just wrote too big and run out of rock so they couldn't make the calendar go any further.
