This is a great match up sir. As you all know I hate catch weights that's why I never think about fights like this. oth fighters had it all when it came to fighting wow. Qawi wins by knock out the move up would have been too much for Marvin. Qawi fought at heavy weight as well he would have bullied Marvin backing him up. Qawi had a way of making all his fights the same he would put his head in the other guy's chest and go to work. Hagler would have stood right in front of him not wanting to give up any ground. These were two real life tough guy's . Qwai was just way to strong for Marvin. I think Marvin was the only second best to Roy Jones Jr. at MIDDLE WEIGHT. I just see Marvin getting caught up in Qawi's game like he did against Hearns trying to prove that he is the better man only this time he pays the price by getting knocked out in the 9th round. Left hook followed by a right hand.

Great fight! I remember many of the Qawi fights and many of the Hagler fights and both were brilliant fighters. Qawi was nicknamed the Camden Buzzsaw and for good reason as he at 5'6" would barrel in aggressively bobbing and weaving in order to get inside to throw his bombs. His fight (1st) wth Holyfield was one of the best I've ever watched with nonstop action. Marvin Hagler to many boxing fans is considered one of the top 3 greatest middleweight Champs in history. He had it all, superior boxing skills, an iron chin, great punching power and the ability to put his opponent away nce he had them hurt. His fight with Thomas Hearns was one of the most thrilling bouts in boxing history and shwed how tough Hagler truly was. I believe that though Hagler is strong, Qawi is the naturally bigger and stronger man though both are about equal in terms of punching power. I believe Hagler has the better boxing skills and faster hands and both have strong chins. This would have been a war and would have been a close fight with lots of action. Hagler would have had to survive some tough moments especially early in the bout but would have been smart enough to keep Qawi on the outside as much as possible and tie him up when in close quarters.
Hagler W15 or W12

great fight Qwai is just about the only fighter that was stronger than hagler but i don't think that would be that and big of a deal as i see hagler boxing more than normal working behind his southpaw jab and for once being the taller fighter ,if marvin can keep his cool he wins a points dec or he could brawl and still win but in a savage fight .

Hagler was a natural middle weight who never grew into a larger fighter.
If he fought at light heavy he would not have the power at 175 as he did at 160, however, in your scenario, he keeps his power so he would win this fight, and it would not last 15 rounds.

we'll never know how marvin would have fared at the higher weighs, so i'm gonna have to give the edge to the naturally bigger and stronger qawi
