Is there a bulb or ceramic light element that can be removed from the Center High Mounted Stop Lamp? 2007 Jeep?
This is to replace the 3rd light on a 2007 jeep commander. I got an incomplete answer.
It did not pass inspection and it MUST be replaced.
I have the assembly unscrewed but I can't figure how to get the whole thing off from the wires or get to the bulb. If there is a bulb or ceramic type light element/LED
They said I have to disconnect the battery? WHY do I have to disconnect the battery? What damage will that do? Won't it cause damage to the electronic? The time & radio stations will have to be reprogrammed, won't they?
Is there a bulb or ceramic bulb that can be REMOVED from the CHMSL?

they are led and you have to replace the whole piece does not come apart.
check that you have voltage when brakes are applied before replacing
