I installed the new version of Java & removed all older versions because the games at games.asobrain.com would not load.

The games work with the new version but I have to approve it and select run. The the browser lists Java 1.7.0.25 as the version.

Does this mean the version of Java is so old it is the Java 1 or does the 1.7.0.25 mean it is the new version.?

I know that the police write on the back of their copies so I want to write on their copies that I refused to answer any questions that the police officer asked by writing on the backs: "I do not & did not consent to being questioned without my attorney present AND I do not & did not consent to any searches". Then sign my name on the front AND back of these comments by me.

Is this legal?

I know the officers write comments on the backs after I leave.

I just opened an email I sent to others in the BCC (Blind Carbon Copy) yet I can see the other BCC recipients.

I was SHOCKED TO FIND all of the BCC recipients emails were viewable.

Is this a new service that is only available to the original sender?

Are the peeps I emailed seeing the other BCC recipients as well? I certainly hope NOT.

I have a guy I could send an email with BCC and ask if he can see the other BCC recipients.

I got this used laptop from Micro Center last year and did not start using it right away. I let my college age son use it. I used it a little, but yesterday I was asked to download the new version of Java but first it told me to "uninstall" the old version of Java.

I did that, but while I was browsing thru the programs to just see what is on the laptop, I noticed FOUR Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable VERSIONS: to wit: 2005, AND 3 of these: ( 2008 v86 9.0.30729 ).

What should I do?

Uninstall ALL OF THEM?

Uninstall 2005 and Two version of v86 9.0.30729 ?

Or something else?

I have backed up my laptop to a restore point

these files are in C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Reader.10.0\Reader\plug_ins\

and are these four (4) extensions:

DigSig.api

EScript.api

IA32.api

Checkers.api

I tried to REPAIR them, but Avast! could not.

Should I "delete" them or "move to chest" or "do nothing"

There are also some other files that are " Password Protected: in C:\Users that are associated with flash player and have unusual endings like

jshelper.js, they have .js and some .exe

What should I do with these files that are password protected?

I have Avast! virus security & scanner. I have had it for about 2 years. I usually just ran Avast! while the computer was on but never did a "boot up scan".

The last 2 days, I ran the "boot up scan" and both times Avast! told me a file under my C drive with an ending sort of like this C://....named user/,,,,Java-ANE , or something like that, was infected and asked what I wanted to do with it: delete, repair...move to chest... ESC.. About 8 or 9 choices in all.

Both times I chose "repair" but Avast! said it could not do that. So I just entered the number to ESC (escape & continue to Windows program sign in screen). This worked fine.

I do not know if I should move it to a chest, delete it or do nothing.

So, what is this Java-ANE file? Is it a virus, worm, Trojan, what?

What happens if I delete it? Move it to a chest?

I am using this laptop that I bought a year ago so my desktop can do some Malwarebytes & Avast ! virus detection.

I have Windows 7 or Vista on that laptop. I think.

While I am in my email account on a Mozilla Firefox browser, my right hand was resting on the right side of my cursor & right click button.

My type size on the email I was reading got smaller & smaller till I lifted my hand up.

The cursor was over on the right side of the screen.

I used to know how to fix this but FORGOT. I'm almost 65, and don't use that option much anymore.

I tried lowering the screen resolution but that did not work. I tried using Explorer browser but that did not work either.

I tried Control Z and Control X, I tried using the "Arrows" to move the Firefox browser back. I tried screen resolution to 1026 X 766 or something like that but it did not work.

What do I need to do. Thank you.

I woke up to find my computer wanted me to run Intel Matrix storage device and it wanted me to approve the running of it.

What scared me was it was Shell.exe, an execute program which is most associated with viruses, Trojans and other malware software programs.

One of the guys who answered my question said "If you have an SSD (solid state drive), you can remove it. .....but if you have a HDD, you should keep it"

SO, I need to know how to find out if I have SSD OR HDD.

I ran Malwarebytes overnight and when I went on the computer this morning, this "Asking Bubble" wanted to know if I wanted to run this: c:\Intel\Intel Matrix Storage Manage\Shell.exe

I did not download this. What scared me is that it is an .exe file extension which means it will start working the second I agree to allow it to execute.

Is this a virus or Trojan or worm or is it safe?

I just read that the American astronauts from Apollo 11 placed solar wind measuring devices on the surface of the moon. Probably the others did also. IF there is solar wind, could that be used to generate electricity?
