Is there a Java file that ends in -ANE that is a virus that must be deleted or moved to a "chest"?
I have Avast! virus security & scanner. I have had it for about 2 years. I usually just ran Avast! while the computer was on but never did a "boot up scan".
The last 2 days, I ran the "boot up scan" and both times Avast! told me a file under my C drive with an ending sort of like this C://....named user/,,,,Java-ANE , or something like that, was infected and asked what I wanted to do with it: delete, repair...move to chest... ESC.. About 8 or 9 choices in all.
Both times I chose "repair" but Avast! said it could not do that. So I just entered the number to ESC (escape & continue to Windows program sign in screen). This worked fine.
I do not know if I should move it to a chest, delete it or do nothing.
So, what is this Java-ANE file? Is it a virus, worm, Trojan, what?
What happens if I delete it? Move it to a chest?

Try the following:
1. delete java cache:
http://www.java.com/en/download/help/plugin_cache....
2. now update Java
3. if Java updates - delete cache again.
4. boot scan with Avast again, if it pop up again, don't click repair, click move to chest or delete.

Tips: Go to add & remove, there should be only one Java, if more than one delete old java. If you move a virus to the chest you can always reinstall it, if its a FP. A virus in the chest can do no harm. A PC will still run without java. I turn my java off when not in use.
