Can a UV rope light be used in a pond?

My 25w UV pond filter has packed up & I was wondering if I could use a 25w UV rope light to replace it.

What is the best browser ?

I’ve got the Thacker virus, what is does:

Privatised all my programs.

Keeps asking for money.

It blocks talking on forums.

It keeps turning my PC blue.

When I try to remove it I get a pop-up metropolitan police officer tell me I’m being unlawful.

If i don’t use the PC I get a second pop-up metropolitan police officer tell me its unlawful to strike.

How would you remove this virus?

I'm fed up removing Babylon toolbar & babylon search from PCs, I've yet to find anyone who wanted it, so should antivirus/antispyware programs view it as a pup

4th disk: S.M.A.R.T. status bad, backup & replace - what does this mean ?

I get this message upon booting up, I press F2 to continue & again I get 4th disk: S.M.A.R.T. status bad, backup & replace

I've tried formatting the hard drive & it wont format or allow re-install of OS.

The PC only has one sata hard drive which is less than a year old.

I am I right in thinking the HD has failed ?

Does the following just happen to me or does free MSE have a problem.

When testing free MSE I've found that if its updating & the update stops (say from lost of internet) the program locks up, when you try & update again, it won't, not until you've done a scan will allow you to update.

I've been told its a pike, I was told it been recorded at doing over 70mph on a strike, then again grass carp & orfe are fast.

My garden gets waterlog a lot & as a result I get a lot of gnats coming from the grass, how can I treat this ?

I getting more & more laptops coming to me, where the person claims the PC is going slow for no reason, on each case when I check the heat-sink, the thermal paste has dry up.

1. Does thermal paste have a life span ?

2. Does thermal paste have a shorter life span on laptops ?

3. What is the best Thermal paste you've used ? (at a reasonable price)

4. Been told about Thermal tape, would Thermal tape be better to use than Thermal paste ?
