Why are people using Google Chrome?

Google Update - Google Update gets installed, and set to run automatically, as soon as you install any Google application that runs locally on your PC: Chrome, Google Earth, the Google Talk plugin for Firefox/Chrome-family browsers or the one for IE browsers that lets you use Google Voice in Gmail, Picasa photo organizer, etc

Notification Center - Google is adding a Notification Center that will run all the time as well, even when Chrome is closed.

Then there's privacy concerns about what is shared to Google, beyond the privacy concerns of what Google shares to NSA and other spy agencies.

Any browser you use is going to collect and send data to the developers who wrote the browser...this is nothing new. The entire point of the Google Updater is to check for updates at regular intervals, just like any Linux or Windows update check will do. Who cares about the Google Notification Center running the background? It's just another background process, on top of the many that already run in the background on your machine. And if you want true privacy, then you shouldn't be online at all, have a phone of any kind, or have anything that is electronic really.

I use Chromium. You are tracked all over the internet. Yahoo is tracking me, Facebook is tracking me, Google is tracking me, almost everyone is tracking me. I use a tracking blocker.
