How do I find out If I have an SSD (solid state drive) or a HDD (Hard Disc Drive)?

I woke up to find my computer wanted me to run Intel Matrix storage device and it wanted me to approve the running of it.

What scared me was it was Shell.exe, an execute program which is most associated with viruses, Trojans and other malware software programs.

One of the guys who answered my question said "If you have an SSD (solid state drive), you can remove it. .....but if you have a HDD, you should keep it"

SO, I need to know how to find out if I have SSD OR HDD.

Thank you in advance for the correct information.

Update:

I did what both of you guys asked and still can't find what yo're asking me to find. I have Windows 7 OS, I think. It 's a Gateway computer

One of those guys was me. And if you rate my question as one star, give me a reason why it was so bad, other than that it was the only answer.

The easiest way to find if you have an HDD is to listen. HDDs make a wining noise, while SSDs are completely silent. However, this can be confused with your fan.

The other way starts with clicking start and typing 'system information' without quotes. The one that comes up should have an icon that is a monitor with the letter I on it. Open that, and on the left expand 'components' using the + button.

Expand 'Storage' and click 'Disks' and you should find the information in there.

The third way involves posting your PC's model and we'll look it up for you.

Go to device manager under storage you'll see the name and the product number of your hard drive

Just google it for more info.
