I also live in Canada, and its not that big of a deal. I honestly hate the weather, but I would do anything to ensure my dog has a good quality of life.
Personally, I plan to move somewhere warmer.
In the meantime, you could motivate yourself by improving your morning routine. Buy a bodum, put some premium coffee grinds in there and then in the morning, you boil the kettle right when you wake up and then get dressed while your coffee steeps. Pour it in a thermos and hit the trails. When you get back, sit down for a nicer breakfast than usual and share some of the healthier stuff with your dog. I am sure you got a dog because you enjoy their company, so this is your time to lavish upon yourself a little stress-free, news free, tv free, work free relaxation time with your dog before hitting the grind.

Just think about what will happen if you don't. Did you know dogs tear stuff up if they have too much energy? Idk how well trained your dog is, but theres something to consider. Imagine how beautiful your dog would be if you did take her for a run every morning. She would be even prettier than she is now!
If you just want to get your dog exercise, but you don't have time, get a remote control car and attach a treat to it. Let your dog figure out that theres a treat there and let her chase it around =) When she catches it she gets the treat.
If you don't have time to interact at all, give her a tennis ball. These are training balls because when the dog bites down, she flexes her jaw muscles more every time. I think this is really a training toy for aggressive dogs to keep their jaws in shape othewise they itch to bite (we have a pitt bull and an english bull dog) but it also helps hold their attention over an extended period of time. Other ball toys aren't as interesting or beneficial to dogs because the tennis ball is thick rubber and bouncy, so when they bite down it tries to spring their mouths open and they will sit there and flex their jaws for hours. We finally had to stop giving our pitt bull tennis balls cuz she's so strong she bites down, her teeth touch, and the tennis ball pops. Then she licks all the fuzz off and hides the broken ball in her dog house.
One of the best excercises that benefits the owner and the dog is tug of war =) If you tug of war with something like a sock, make sure she KNOWS the difference between her sock and your socks. Otherwise she thinks socks are toys to tear up. This is why you should stick to real toys lol
Hope I helped! There's not much else you can do to get motivated except decide to be motivated and stick with it. And force yourself to do it, because it's for your dog, not really for you so it doesn't matter whether YOU want to. Your dog wants to. Do it for her.

Oh gosh, I know how you feel, I used to do this with my dog until I found a better time for me to do it. It's freezing where I live too(:
I'm not sure if this would work for everyone, but if my alarm is near enough to me when it goes off so that I can snooze it, then I will snooze it, if it's out of arm's reach though and I have to get up and walk to it to shut it off then I honestly can't go back to sleep, and my dog is used to our schedule so that she gets all excited and I can't ignore her.
Good luck! Sorry if I didn't help much, I didn't last too long running with my dog in the morning.

I live in northern alberta where it's colder then that and I still walk my dog in the mornings. Mind you its usually after a night shift at 6am so I don't need to get out of bed (although Id like to get in one...) but all you have to do is dress warm. Because you live in this climate, I would think you know how to do that...

Wow! That is so cold! I hope your dog is well protected, especially her paws, and you too. In the mornings, alarms help, for me at least. I play the song 'WIDE AWAKE' coz I hate it and I'm up almost immediately. Try and wake up because you love your dog and you know she needs it. Besides, running fast might get you a bit warmed up and filled with energy for your day ahead.

properly, the 1st element you're able to do is desperate an alarm clock, devour properly, and get a lot of sleep. in many circumstances in the previous I exercising, and that i do no longer desire to do it, I merely tension myself to bypass out and as quickly as i'm obtainable that is wonderful. do a sprint diagnosis, seem at memories of human beings that have lost weight via exercising.

Put peanut butter on your genitals before you go to bed and when she starts licking, your erection will pump blood throughout your body and help you go walk your dog
plus you got a bj
