If Liberals are so set on keeping religion out of politics, then why is Washington closed for CHRISTMAS?
I would think the Liberals would remain in Washington to work on things like the economy and fixing the State Dept. instead of giving credence to a RELIGIOUS day.

Actually... in internal memoranda, the Democratic Party refers to this time of year as -
"The Annual Winter Return to District to Raise Campaign Funds" break.
That said... I think ALL of Congress should remain in session year round if certain conditions are unresolved, specifically - No Budget, no vacations (ooops Senator Reid). Political parties aside and be damned... BOTH parties need a serious kick in the pants from the CITIZENS.
I remember working for the "Government"" when I was in the military... we didn't get GRAND multi-week vacation time (only 30 days a year).... and that 30 days was ONLY available if your command wasn't deployed, training, etc. IF your work wasn't DONE, you didn't LEAVE.

Wow! I didn't know we had taken over Washington! When did that happen? In that case, all of you conservatives must return to Washington and the Congress and pass the laws we want you to. That means tax hikes on the upper 2%, cuts to defense spending, increases on infrastructure spending, etc. Let's go now!
