Does this mean I won't have to hear about the Mayan Doomsday Prophecy anymore?

Or are we now going to get people coming out of the woodwork with a "corrected" interpretation, like all the previous end-of-the-world frootloops?

People are already saying it wasn't correctly deciphered and that it could be February 17th even though the mayans never said anything about the world ending. Anyways, happy 14th baktun and welcome to the age of aquaris

Probably, doomsayers just want attention. Most of these people that believe "the end of the world" probably know what they are saying is a crock to.

I`m sure someone will come up with another dooms day scenario to put us through. The minister from California finally gave up when three of his predictions didn`t come true.

Usually when these things roll past the doomsayers profess that they have merely miscalculated and set the date forward further.
