How many deer can you harvest per year - nationwide?

I know that each state has regulations mandating how many deer can be harvested each year, but if you were to get one buck tag in multiple states, lets say 15 different states, doesn't that mean you can kill 15 bucks in one year?

Is there a limit or regulation to hunting like this?

It is as many as you can afford to buy licenses and tags for.

In the state of Alabama, you can kill 105 does and 3 bucks per year. But a couple of years ago you could kill a buck and a doe every day of deer season....making for a grand total of 210 deer per year.

Each state has different regulations and bag limits..Alabama has the most liberal bag limit in the nation.

You are correct. If you got busy, you might even be able to get 50 bucks if you got permits in all 50 states and had enough time to kill that many. I know the state that I live in says that you can only get one buck per person in the state. It does not make any reference to deer that you may have killed in other states.

If you really want to go through the incredible cost of hunting in fifteen different states, go for it. You do realize that out-of-state hunting licenses and tags tend to cost anywhere from five to ten times what it costs to hunt in-state? If I drive an hour north, I'd end up spending almost $500 just for hunting licenses. Here in my own state I'd spend anywhere from $10-$50, depending upon what license I bought.

And since some states have no tagging, your figures are based entirely on an imaginary scenario.

Once the freezer is full, there is no point in doing this. Feral hogs OTOH, I go to Texas at least one weekend a month and after killing over a thousand the dent in their population is nothing. The meat does go to food banks and shelters so it is all good.

As many as I like. I live in the UK and I'm not subjected to bag limits or tags.
