I need a name for my pet?
For my ball/royal python.
He's incredibly sweet, shy when it comes to multiple people he doesn't know, and very curious/adventurous.
He's entirely white with blue irises and red pupils.
I'm trying to avoid cliche or pet-ish names ( people have suggested things like 'blizzard' or 'domino' - however, a name like 'dominic' would be closer to what I'm looking for ), but I'm just not feeling it. I can't take those kinds of names seriously, I guess.
So uh, help me out here?
Pics, if that helps any:

I don't like stereotypical pet names either. They sound terrible.
How about naming him after a place, like Dakota or Paris? (I named my female ball python Havana).
Or if you're into mythology, you can always name him something like Ares, Damon, Jason, or Icarus.
He's really cute looking by the way. Such a beautiful snake.

I personally prefer descriptive names for a pet as their name tells you so much about their personality..But then again a pet name could still be used as a human name but still be descriptive of the animal...It just all depends.. I have a little chihuahua named Missy and yeah that name to me really suits her. I also have 2 zebra finches named Beauty and Beast i love their names it says everything about their personalitys lol... What do you prefer?

Oh what a cutie! XD I love their faces! Such a pretty snake too. Those eyes are amazing.
I really like to go all-out with my pets' names. Love to delve into mythology and such. Lemme see...
Apep (greek)/Apophis(Egyptian): Ancient Egyptian god that wanted to swallow the sun
Ophion (greek) "serpent"
Ophiuchus: "snake bearer"
Fafnir: (icelandic): transforms self into dragon
Ningishzida (mesopotamian) deity of underworld (could always use just part of it)
Askook (algonquin) "snake"
Ladon: (greek) river god; hundred headed dragon guardian
Veles: (slavic)
I took Quetzalcoatl ("feathered serpent") and call my gopher snake Quetzal (which is actually a green bird) I like playing with these names.
For another example with that, Tezcacoatl means "reflecting serpent; king". As I said before, coatl means "serpent". Tezca would be a cool name. :D
