Fact: men make better friends than women do?

It seems as though they were saying that men were more tolerant than women of various things. Being tolerant is usually good for friendship, but it's certainly not the only component of a friendship. As was said in the article, women may value the friendship more and react more strongly when they feel they've been wronged. And then all the participants were of college age and were all college students. These things can change with age. Maybe the college environment affects women differently than men. The sample size was only 30 in two cases, the minimum for statistical meaningfulness etc.

I'm not saying the study is worthless. It SUGGESTS that women MAY be more intolerant in close relationships than men are based on some real data, which is interesting and may lead to more interesting research. But I don't think it's appropriate to make a blanket statement that women make better friends than men, here, there and for all time. Science is about learning, not jumping to broad and sweeping conclusions. The minute we think we know something absolutely is the minute we stop learning about it. As Nietzche said "convictions are greater enemies to truth than outright lies"

Im sure youve had many nice male friends but im sure many people have had some good female friends. There is a study for every think you can think of and for every study thats says one thing you will find just as many more they say the oposite. You don't want to miss some great friends just because your what you have read has made you prejudce to female friends. I take friends were I can get them, why limit the possiblites.

Research isn't even needed to justify but it's the only way to convince some people to at least think. Guys are laid back people for the most part while women while operate on thoughts, feelings, and hang onto stuff in their minds. It's like their minds have the capacity to be more volatile and hostile. Guys are just more easier going in general............................!!

Friend wise, yeah girls are real jerks.

I don't know about better. But men can have a yelling and screaming argument and forget about it the next day. I think women never forget.

Women are more emotional so it's more likely there is going to be more conflict.However i don't believe platonic friendship can exist.Because the male always wants more(although he'll settle for friendship).

That's just one "study" I'm sure other studies debunk this. So you have no friends because you are an uneducated loser who sucks
