Is not the absence of justice enough proof there is life after death?

And that there will be justice for those whom were wronged.

How many got away from bad things they did through their lives, killers, rapers, etc.

No, that has nothing to do with it.

There is no promise of justice or fairness in this world, my friend. If there was justice here and now ... Maybe (just maybe) that would argue for some kind of supernatural being who keeps track of these things.

if there was a god of any kind - why would they allow bad things to happen to good people in the first place? Why would there be things like cancer or natural disasters?

That innate wish for "justice" is one of the things that keep people in a religion, though. Some people just can't stand the thought that there really isn't some cosmic accountant watching over everyone and making sure the books stay balanced.

    Grown ups know better.

    No...faith is. And sometimes, more.

My brother's friend was dying. We (my mom, me, my brother, and one other friend) were standing around his stretcher in a very crowded hallway of an ER. No room even available to put him in. Eventually we found out, later, that his liver was gone. He had AIDS. This was in the mid-80s. Thank god we have better drugs now. Anyway...we were standing around his stretcher. He was almost comatose. He was not saying a word, and his eyes were closed. All of a sudden, without exchanging a word, all of us knew his soul was leaving his body at that moment. We were like, we need some privacy. We looked across the hall and saw a supply room, and pulled him in there. He was still breathing and his heart was still beating, but somehow we knew, without talking, that his soul had left the room. All of a sudden , he popped back into his body...his eyes opened. he was freakin' terrified. he spoke, he said he had seen the devil. That's all he said. Moments later, he left his body again, and came back again after a few moments. This time he said, he had seen god and it was ok. He never spoke another word. he died in my brother's arms the next day.

Now, understand that I feel I might have imagines it..but I could not because of the fact my mom was there. here was a lady who never spoke of this kind of thing.

I am a pediatric RN. I worked at Childrens Hospital national Medical Center and other facitlities. I have had similar experiences like that but none quite so....informative.

I know there is life after death. if it only goes on for a second, and then we wink out, or whatever, your soul does leave the body and go somewhere else. There is no way all five of us saw this, thought this, experienced it, and barely spoke a word to each other thru-ought. our actions, our responses, and it can all be attributed to hallucinations. We know what we felt. We knew to move him into that room. We knew he was leaving his body. He did. Twice. Decide for yourself, but for me, I know what I saw and what I felt. RIP dear ROB I still miss you dear man.

Source(s): I swear on my life that this is truth. You may doubt it all you want. That does not change what happened or what I believe. If you choose to not believe me, that's cool. Because it was pretty heavy.

Why would that be evidence at all? You seem to be under the delusion that the universe is a just place. In what way would the "absence of justice" be evidence of an afterlife?

very lots of what they are claiming is conjecture, and there is fairly placed up hoc, ergo propter hoc reasoning in there besides. Anecdotal reports (which seems to be all they have) are the least good varieties of documents, and the effects of this "learn" have yet to be duplicated independently. For now, not something has been shown, in spite of the fact that i might want to confirm some further study so that is conclusively examined to be the bologna it very almost extremely is. Even medical doctors and scientists can from time to time forget the thank you to think of critically whilst they want to have self assurance badly sufficient.

Oh come on, you can't really think this is proof of an afterlife.

If those rapists, killers etc had repented and "found Jesus", wouldn't they be going to heaven as well? That's the justice you're talking about?

Christianity sure isn't about about justice. If you're a mass murderer and child rapist, as long as you repent and believe you have forgiveness in most Christian sects, even if the exact details of what you have to say or do change. So do whatever you want and make a deathbed confession and go to heaven. What kind of justice is that?!

That's just about the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. Maybe if you could prove that Justice is 100% then you might have some kind of argument.

No that's not proof, that's assertion. You may want there to be a penalty, but that does not mean there is. Even if there was one, I would not even wish Hell on Hitler, putting an infinite torture on someone for a finite crime is more evil than the crime in the first place.

Wow, if only buddy... in fact that just proofs that there is NO life after.

God allows such horrible crimes to happen, guess he either does not care or exist, either way, I'm not praying to such a entity.

Will this justice apply to all the christians and muslims who have murdered in the name of their religion?
