How stable are U.S. Army MP assignments?
If your MOS in the army is military police, how realistic is it to expect to stay on one base for very long? Can you stay in one place your whole career? How easy is it to transfer to other bases?

MP Companies can be very stable and full of chaos too. If you deploy you never know, but most MP companies run the gate and hand out tickets like regular cops. Your first duty assignment is for about 3-4 years and then you can re-up and move to another spot or choose to stay at the one you are at. But generally military families move a lot.

If your in ft hood your there for ever. But once your re enlistment time comes you could hypothetically go anywhere. If you haven't joined the army yet, sign your final contract. Seriously choose a different MOS. you'll be miserable, everyone I mean everyone hates your guts and I promise you will never do what in that high speed video you've watched. Serious think about it your only a cop on post when your off duty your just a soldier. Plus other real LEO's ( civilian cops) don't care if you where a MP or not you still have to get certified to be a real cop.

The same as any other MOS.
And to the question of staying in one place for entire career, NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. You PCS to different posts when the Army tells you to. You don't get to decide when you want to move.

You are assigned wherever the Army needs you, so expect to be moved at any given time.
