For recording gameplay for XBOX 360 or PS3 your best options is a capture card or HD PVR. Here is a list of capture cards and HD PVR you can use to record. Check each one out and see which one fits your budget and most importantly don't forget you get what you pay for - so, if you buy the cheaper ones then expect lower resolution on your game play videos
