Does a more expensive hair dryer mean a better blow dry?

I'm looking to grab a new hair dryer, but I'm confused with all the options out there. There a couple from Remington, VS, and GHD that have a huge price gap. But these hair dryers all have similar functions. So I'm just wondering what should be looking out for to get a good blow dry.

There's definitely a big difference in the quality of hair dryers - from features that help prevent hair damage to other that help your hair dry faster or with a professional finish. Today's hair dryer technology is not just a bunch of "hot air"… hair dryers are packed with advanced technologies that take your hair from ho-hum to oh-la-la! Here's the main differences to consider when making your next hair dryer purchase:

    Ceramic & Tourmaline

Ceramic and Tourmaline technologies in hair driers generate far-infrared heat. This gentle form of heat penetrates the inside of the hair enabling both the inside and outside of the hair shaft to dry simultaneously.

    Pearl Ceramic

With real crushed pearls, the advanced pearl formula is emitted through the dryer air giving you smooth, frizz-free styles.

    Titanium

Titanium is a super hard, lightweight metal known for its excellent heat conductivity, durability, and smoothness.

    AC vs. DC Motors

DC motors provide good durable performance and are the cost effective. AC motors are typically found in professional products because they are quieter and tend to have a 3 times longer life expectancy.

    Ionic Technology

Hair becomes frizzy and full of static when negative electrons are stripped away. Ionic technology adds electron charges back to the hair during drying to reduce frizz and static.

    Micro-Conditioners

This next generation grill is infused with micro-conditioners that are actually release into the airflow. These molecular conditioners are transferred onto the hair to protect against color fade and damage for a healthy shine.

You should get one with ceramic heating and multiple heat and speed settings. Those are always good. GHD is a big brand name, their flat irons are insanely expensive too but I have a karmin and it's way better and cheaper too. You have to look at features, not price. Try looking at the karmin blowdryer, it has tons of really good features and it has a moneyback guarantee so its safe to say that its good quality. Look for it online and see if you like it better than the ones you've already seen.

honestly its all just hot air, its the brush and the angle of the heat that counts. I woud concentrate on your straightening iron or curling iron, and the shampoos and conditioners you use, USE A HEAT PROTECTANT or it will severe your hair.

buy the remington one. and then a GHD , or chi straightner

get a mid range price dryer unless you find one you like that have what you are going to use.

compare the specs if your lost on price for the heat and wattage
