How long until I can let my fry out in with the other fish?
I have a Balloon Molly fry and she has been alive for 7 months tomorrow. She looks big enough to let out with the others but I think the other fish will pick on her if I let her go with them. Just wondering if she is big enough and if the other fish will kill her? Thank you
I have a 20 gallon tank with 3 other fish a Balloon Molly( her mother) and 2 Neon Tetras they all are I'd say an inch and a half.

Well.... how big is the tank you are hoping to release her into? What type and size are your other fish? Hard to answer a question with such little information provided. Typically if you are just stocking mollies in your tank and want to release fry, they can be released as soon as you are sure that they will not fit in the larger mollies mouths. I would wait until the fry is at least two times the size of the mollies mouth, as some fish will try to eat fry, and then get them stuck in their mouths, risking the lives of both fish. More info please and I can give you a better response

i let my guppy babies out after 2 months they are small still but as long as they are two big to be eaten they will be fine. my babies were only picked on for the first 5 minutes after that no one cared and they've been ignored ever since
