My computer kees shutting down?

My family recently got a new HP All in One with Windows Eight. It was working fine up until today, when it began to shut off randomly. It didn't have any warning, the screen went black and it stopped working. This happened twice while I was playing a game, and once while browsing the internet (although I was downloading M&B: Warband). Now it won't turn back on. It's not even three months old yet, and my Dad will kill me if he sees this. Is it a heating problem? Is the comp not getting enough power? We live in a very old house (97 years old) and had the wiring redone, but it still could be that, right?

Anything you can suggest at all will be a great help, thanks.

Sometimes you'll experience this problem if the computer is overheating. Make sure you don't have it in an enclosed area so that it can "breathe", also might want to check that the internal fan is working - you'll normally hear that. It should be simple enough to check if it is overheating if it is hot to touch after long periods of use or after it shuts down. If it's not that then it could be absolutely anything and maybe would need a technician to look at it for you, unless anyone on here has any other suggestions.

If have a warranty then you might be able to use that..
