I'm trying to figure out a problem for my homework but cannot remember what my teacher said and cannot find help online.

"While filming an action movie, a car drives off a cliff into a lake.. h(t)=-16t^2+30 , where t= measures the time in seconds the car falls, gives the car's height above the water (in feet) as the car falls. The car also hits a tree 10 feet above the water. Write and solve an equation to find the elapsed time until the car hits the tree."

Please show the steps to solving this style of equation. I would prefer to figure this out myself, so please do not tell me the answer, thank you.

Hello, recently I dug up an old Pavilion that was in my basement. I want to upgrade it so it is slightly more decent than it's default settings. I have picked out a new graphics card and more RAM, but what I really need advice on is the power supply. Will the power supply I've picked up be sufficient in providing power to all the things?

I'm in the market for a new computer that is capable of running Rome 2 : Total War. I am a huge fan of the franchise but my current computer couldn't handle it if I tried. I cannot build my own computer ( through two try and fails ) and am not the most tech-savvy person. Something with good video card, plenty of RAM and an Intel Core w/ plenty of hard drive room. ( Preferably a terabyte or two ).

The most I'm willing to spend would be about $600. Also, if you can't think of a specific computer, a brand name like iBUYPOWER would work too.

So a watched a youtube video on minecraft and the guy posting this looks like he had more stuff and better graphics than me? Plus, you couldn't see his fingers on the screen but how because you can only play Minecraft on an ipod! My friends tried to trick me and say it is actually a PC game but how stupid do they think I am? Minecraft is only for mobile devices... it would suck if it was for PC, right? what software was the YouTuber using to record that off his ipod, with more stuff better graphics and full screen, without his fingers?

My family recently got a new HP All in One with Windows Eight. It was working fine up until today, when it began to shut off randomly. It didn't have any warning, the screen went black and it stopped working. This happened twice while I was playing a game, and once while browsing the internet (although I was downloading M&B: Warband). Now it won't turn back on. It's not even three months old yet, and my Dad will kill me if he sees this. Is it a heating problem? Is the comp not getting enough power? We live in a very old house (97 years old) and had the wiring redone, but it still could be that, right?

Basically I've been wanting to hook up my Xbox to a PC monitor via an HDMI cable. The problem is the monitor doesn't have built in speakers, so I was wondering if I could take a pair a speakers that plug in via an aux output into my Xbox Slim. In case I'n not clear, I want to take a speaker that plays its sound through only the auxilary ouput on the back of my Xbox 360 Slim. Would the sound work?
