Do you believe breaking up taking a brake will work?

Hey guys sometimes I come online and ask questions......so me and my ex lived together in Canada than he decided to leave and go back to his country......so I followed him I lived there for 4months than we broke up we had a lot of differences because I was young and not ready to be a good wife .....it broke my heart because 1yr and a half has passed a lot of things have happened but most of all I have changed and I think I can finally be the women he deserves he treated me like a queen......however in this time apart he moved on he had a baby with a girl he has told me it was an error he jumped into quickly not an error because he has a child and that's a blessing but he regrets leaving me to got here and he has mentioned maybe we can work now since the time apart could of changed us for the better I am going there in 2 weeks to c him again and see what happens ....but do you guys think it can work? I want to think the time apart made us change and realize but I don't know supposedly u can't fix the cracks on a broken mirror right? Do u guys belied its possible to get back with an ex?
